Freedivers dive underwater on a single breath,
using training and breathwork to reach new depths.
But it’s also more than just exploring the ocean -
it can be a transformative practice. Learning
freediving challenges you to push your body’s limits,
deepen your awareness, and gain a greater
understanding of your mind, and true capabilities.
And with that, you can take
your diving deeper and deeper.

About TouchDown
Founded in 2019 by Gus Kreivenas, Touchdown
is a world-leading freediving school operating
in Dahab, Egypt. And we are redefining how
freediving is taught.
Our mission is to equip freediving students with
a unique blend of mental and physical education
through an intensive diving schedule offered
in English, Russian, French, Arabic and Lithuanian.
We’ve helped thousands of students
(and counting!) from beginners to elite athletes.
And the results speak for themselves.
Our international students have gone on to pass
the 100+ metre mark, break national records,
open freediving schools, and contribute
to the development of freediving education while
discovering the depths of their potential.
Away from the water, we’re also global advocates
for the potential of freediving, helping lead
international conversations about the sport’s
scientific and technical development alongside
ocean advocacy.
Gus's Story
Gus Kreivenas battled frustration and uncertainty in his early life until the ocean offered something different: a path forward. In 2010, the Lithuanian’s life changed forever when he discovered the power of freediving.
From that moment on, Gus immersed himself in the underwater world, training with some of the world’s top freedivers in Sharm El Sheikh and absorbing the knowledge of the best instructors before venturing into competitive freediving. And he hasn’t looked back.
Gus holds 24 national records and continues to train, compete, and push his own limits. But, his greatest passion lies in his life’s work: Touchdown. For him, freediving is a transformational tool, teaching discipline, control, and inner peace that can benefit everyone open to learning.
Beneath the surface, he’s a dedicated coach committed to each and every student.
About Our Teachings
Any freediving school can teach you
the technicalities of freediving, but at Touchdown,
we also focus on the mind.
Ask any freediver, and they’ll confirm that regulating your nervous system is crucial to freediving.
So, alongside the practical elements of diving, we work on a number of mental tools specifically geared to your parasympathetic nervous system.
By focusing on the psychology of trust, honesty
and awareness in our on-land dry sessions,
we help divers build their mental toolkits, which
enable them to go deeper with calmness and control.
Gus uses his transformational journey as an
example, inspiring other divers by passing this
knowledge on at Touchdown. This takes his
students deeper than most. As well as immersing
yourself in Gus's teachings, you'll learn through
daily lectures, equalisation workshops and breathing
sessions and (most importantly) social gatherings.
